Democratic gubernatorial nominee Abigail Spanberger nearly raised nearly double what her Republican opponent, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, raised in April and May.
The latest reports cover the period between April 1 and June 5. Spanberger raised $6,521,846 during that period and spent $3,189,691, leaving her with $14,336,945 cash on hand. Earle-Sears raised $3,521,260 and spent $4,608,468, leaving her with $2,959,383 cash on hand.

In the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, state Sen. Ghazala Hashmi raised the most money at $742,841, with $151,883 of that being in-kind donations. Hashmi reported having $461,729 cash on hand.
Hashmi’s largest donor during the period was Sonjia Smith, a prominent Democratic donor who is also married to the founder of Clean Virginia, Michael Bills. Smith gave Hashmi $100,000.
Hashmi’s second-largest donor is Comstock Holdings, the group behind the Tyson’s Corner casino proposals. Comstock gave her campaign $50,000.
Levar Stoney raised the most cash in the lieutenant governor race, bringing in $683,000, with an additional $18,000 of in-kind donations.
Stoney’s largest donor during this period was Dominion Energy. The public utility gave his campaign $225,000.
State Sen. Aaron Rouse raised $653,000 in cash and brought in an additional $6,000 in in-kind donations.
Rouse’s largest donor was Greater PA Carpenters, which gave his campaign $100,000. He also received $25,000 from music legend and 757 native, Pharrell Williams. Rouse also received $25,000 from Comstock, $25,000 from Building a Remarkable Virginia PAC, which is related to Comstock, and $25,000 from Live Casino and Hotel Virginia.
Prince William School Board Chair Babur Lateef raised $338,000 in cash and brought in $27,000 in in-kind donations.
Dominion Energy was his largest donor, giving him $75,000.
Alex Bastani raised $140,435, of which only $250 came from outside sources. He gave his campaign $139,750.

In the Democratic primary for attorney general, Henrico Commonwealth Attorney raised the most, bringing in $1,043,420. Her largest donor was Dominion Energy, which gave her $550,000 during this reporting period.
Taylor spent almost $1.3 million and finished the period with $469,816 cash on hand.
Jay Jones raised $720,000 in cash, with an additional $208,692 in in-kind donations, mainly from Clean Virginia’s attack ad of Taylor.
Jones spent $1.9 million and finished the period with $492,757 cash on hand.
His largest donor during this period was Elizabeth Simons, who contributed $100,000 to his campaign.
Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares, who is not running in a primary, raised more than Taylor and Jones. He brought in nearly $1.1 million in cash and spent $1,036,849, leaving him with $2,304,092 cash on hand.
Primary day is next Tuesday, June 17.
