iGaming legislation, which would allow online gambling and betting, online slots, online blackjack/roulette, and online poker, for example, is advancing in the General Assembly.
The bills are sponsored by Sen. Mamie Locke, D-Hampton, and Del. Marcus Simon, D-Fairfax.
Locke and Simon have both received $50,000 from iGaming backer, Sports Betting Alliance.
The group has given Virginia Democrats $2,535,380 since 2025, and $521,953 to Republicans.
Both bills have advanced out of their respective chambers and are being considered by the other.
