Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe is launching a new digital ad Monday with more highlights from the rally last week featuring Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, and a flag that was described as being carried at the Jan. 6 rally in Washington D.C.

Republican gubernatorial nominee Glenn Youngkin was not involved in the event and referred to the flag’s presence as “weird and wrong.” This new ad, however, uses comments from Youngkin prior to it taking place thanking the host for putting it together.

Glenn Youngkin: John, thank you for hosting this event on the thirteenth.

Event Host 1: She’s carrying an American flag that was carried at the peaceful rally with Donald J. Trump on January sixth.

Event Host 2: I pledge allegiance to the flag.

Donald Trump: Glenn Youngkin – he’ll straighten out Virginia. Do all of the things that we want a governor to do. We’re gonna take it all back. Take back Virginia.

McAuliffe has already released one ad from the event using comments from President Trump.
