Staff update: 11/20/2020

In a COVID-19 update provided by the Virginia Department of Health, Colonial Heights has reported numbers on COVID-19 that continue to be in a much better position than the rest of Virginia.

Colonial Heights is reporting a 7-day average of two new cases a day and a 7-day average number of new daily cases reported per a population of 100,000 as 12.8. The rest of Virginia is at 23.6, and nearby Chesterfield is above 20.

In total, Colonial Heights has seen 369 cases, 30 hospitalizations, and 26 deaths. Governor Northam recently tightened restrictions around the Commonwealth as the numbers continue to surge.

We will continue to provide new information as it is received.
