Petersburg Police released a statement on Friday at 3:36 p.m. stating that they are investigating a shooting that took place near the corner of Wythe and South streets.
Police officials say that a victim has been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. They are asking for witnesses to the shooting to contact them at (804) 732-4222 or through their P3 Tips app.
