A shooting in Petersburg on Tuesday night left a victim fighting for his life. Petersburg Police say that they are investigating the incident after a man was dropped off at Southside Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

In a statement, police officials say that they believe the shooting occurred near Wythe St. and Sycamore St. The victim is suffering from life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to VCU Medical Center in Richmond for treatment.
