Here are the updated COVID-19 numbers for Mathews County:
Mathews COunty has seen a total of 269 cases this year. There have been 14 hospitalizations and two deaths due to COVID-19 complications. This is one additional death since our last COVID-19 update earlier in December.
Mathews is currently seeing a seven-day average increase of eight new cases per day. The seven-day average of new daily cases among a population of 100,000 in Mathews County results in 90.9, which is 45 points higher than the statewide average.
